II Timothy 4:2 (KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, and out of season; reprove; rebuke; exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
So many times I have found myself standing at a distance acting like I have everything together. Putting on a front of "leaves," if you will. But if I were to take the time to examine myself honestly, I would find that I am not producing fruit.
I am finding, as I dig deeper into the things of God, that we should all be producing fruit for His Kingdom. From the beginning we are told to be fruitful.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV) And God blesses them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The very first time the Creator said anything to mankind He BLESSED us and gave instructions to be fruitful etc... That blessing gives all the power we need in order to fulfill what He has called us to do with our lives. We are all commanded to love one another (John 15:17). We are all commanded to love the Lord our God with all our mind, heart, with our entire being, and all our might. (Deut. 6:5). You might say yeah but they did this or that to me.... they treated me wrong. So What.... If you have the Greater One living inside of you, YOU CAN LOVE THEM. You can love anyone you choose. Allow the Father to love them through you. I have found that the more you press into, and love the Lord, then it becomes easier to love his people. Don't get me wrong, walking in love is a learning process. We are faced with challenges every single day of our lives. Be it at home, or work, or church, or on the road... there are many opportunities to hone our love walk.
I have learned something while endeavoring to walk in His love, and that is that people need JESUS. Sometimes I just have to say out loud (as I get cut off on the road, or what have you) I LOVE THE LORD MY GOD WITH ALL MY HEART, ALL MY SOUL, ALL MY MIND, AND ALL MY STRENGTH, AND I LOVE MY NEIGHBOUR AS MYSELF. I'll confess that a few times, or more than a few depending, and the love of the Father will just come all over me. When that happens I don't even remember what I was mad at in the first place.
Walking in love will produce fruit. It opens doors for God to move in your life that you would have never thought possible.
Thank you Lord for loving me. For continuing to teach me how to allow You to love others through me. Thank you for releasing the blessing power into my life and changing this man. Oh God continue showing me how to bear fruit so I am not a fig tree.
Until next time
B.

BN - Nice challenges my brother. When I get cutoff I usually want to show them tough love and "tall man" which likes to exalt his prideful self.
The fact that you are confessing your love for the Father and others shows indeed a production of good/God fruit my brother.
Enjoyed the read.

...ouch! So true, Brian. Thanks for the honesty and bringing the challenge!
